A Wind Rating is assigned to a certain area based on the geographic region, shielding, topography and terrain.
Some areas are windier than others and others experience more intense cyclones and winds.
If your shed does not have a sufficient Wind Rating to match the winds in your area, your shed may get damaged or picked up by the wind.
It is recommended you contact your local council and get them to provide you with the correct wind rating in your area.
Wind Ratings
* W33 - 118km/h
* W41(C1) - 147km/h
* W41N(N3) - 147km/h
* W50(C2) - 180km/h
* W60(C3) - 218km/h
* W70(C4) - 254km/h
Wind rating is often classified with either a “N” or “C”. N stands for “non – cyclonic” while C stands for “cyclonic”.
To complicate things, some manufacturers still use the old “W” wind rating classification.
